Hello! My name is Paige and I am happy you stopped by.

I am a Texan, born and raised. I began blogging a little over a year ago to get thoughts out of my head. I like to write about my family, faith, career, and random interest that come and go.

Soccer is a big part of my life. I played soccer for over 30 years and even met my husband on the field. We played on opposing co-ed indoor teams in the beginning, but he soon jumped ship and joined the winning team. We’ve been married for 24 years now and raised two soccer players of our own. Raising two competitive soccer players kept us busy and on the go. We coached, we cheered, and we reffed from the stands.

Our soccer players are now grown and left us to be empty nesters. They are both college athletes and attend school six hours away. Having them out of the house the majority of the year was hard, but we’ve managed pretty well. We got into a new routine that they just love messing with when they are home on breaks.

We have a dog and cat that keep us company. Well, the dog keeps us company and fully aware if anyone enters the house. She is small, feisty and a whole lot of bark. The cat isn’t much company. She moves from one comfy spot to another all day long.

In this blog, I will share my thoughts on family life. We did some things really well and some things terribly wrong as parents. I will also share my faith as a tool for me to learn and grow as a Christian. I am a teacher in a public school and will share my experiences. I learn from others every day. Maybe something I have to say will stick with you.
